Michael Lynes, President and Licensed Home Inspector, Licensed Residential Builder
Michael Lynes was raised in the construction business working for his father Ralph Lynes, one of the Hilton Head Island's pioneer builders. In 1976 Michael formed his own company, Lynes Construction, Inc.
Lynes Home Inspections was formed in 1996 as an adjunct to his successful construction business. Having built hundreds of homes in the lowcountry and inspected thousands more, Michael is uniquely qualified to understand what nature does to structures in this area.
Mr. Lynes is licensed by the State of South Carolina as a home inspector and residential builder, and is a member of the South Carolina Association of Home Inspectors.

Wade Tholen, Licensed Home Inspector
Wade was brought to the Lynes Home Inspection team in 2002 for his experience in historic homes. A licensed home inspector in the state of South Carolina and North Carolina, Wade has been a commercial kitchen designer since 1994 and a licensed home inspector with an emphasis on historic buildings since 2000. Since establishing the Lynes Inspections Beaufort office, Wade has inspected some of the most historic homes in Beaufort County. He has also inspected homes of historic significance in Charleston County, South Carolina and Mecklenburg and Cabarrus Counties in North Carolina.
In addition to certifications in North Carolina, Wade's continuing education includes certification in

Brad Tholen, Licensed Home Inspector
A veteran of 3000 home inspections, Brad has experienced the construction process from foundations to finish work. Brad is also an experienced cabinetmaker and designer. His earlier experiences in marketing and technology were instrumental in helping create the Lynes Home Inspections' Exclusive QuickReport Home Inspection System.
In his personal time Brad volunteers as an adult leader for Boy Scouts of America including his role as an Assistant Scoutmaster with Boy Scout Troop 241 in Bluffton.
